Published 10 months ago

Dramatic dashcam and body camera footage released by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department and New Mexico State Police, shows deputies and officers participating in a wild police chase after a female driver conducted an armed robbery at a Starbuck's drive thru.

On November 26th, 2021, law enforcement officers observed a black sedan speeding through a red light in Eldorado, narrowly causing a head on collision. Officers immediately began pursuing the vehicle down U.S. 285 for nearly an hour. During that time, the passenger of the black sedan opened fire on the pursing officers, forcing officers to return fire.

While exceeding speeds of more than 100 mph, the officer in the footage is observed firing over 50-rounds at the fleeing vehicle. The chase ultimately came to a stop after multiple officers struck the vehicle, killing the female and injuring her male accomplice. The male suspect, later identified as Jacob Montoya, currently has five felony cases against him. The female, later identified as Christean Dimas, had several warrants for drug possession and robbery.

No law enforcement officers were injured during this incident.
