(NSFW) Ukrainians Evacuate Wounded Soldier That Stepped on Toe-Popper

GoPro footage released by Ukrainian troops captures the moment a Ukrainian Soldier steps on an anti-personnel landmine. It also shows the follow on actions and medical evacuation of the wounded Ukrainian who appears to have his foot severely damaged. The mine was most likely a Russian PFM-1 mine, also known as the Butterfly mine, and commonly referred to by U.S. Infantry troops as the "Toe Popper."

I have seen exactly one of these mines go off on a person before. For me, it happened in the Trek Nawa region of Afghanistan and the wounded Marine ended up losing his foot. Outside of that, he made a full recovery and is now able to walk just fine with the aid of a prosthetic. The PFM-1 was heavily used in the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and there are a ridiculous number of these mines all over the country.

For the purpose of context, this video was filmed by the United Assault Brigade. RAGE is a special police unit with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and they were most recently conducting combat operations near Klishchiivka.
