(NSFW) Ukrainian Troops Open Fire On Civilian Vehicle?!?!

Unconfirmed footage reportedly recorded by a Russian forward observation team allegedly shows a Ukrainian reconnaissance unit opening fire on a civilian vehicle and killing its occupants.

The context from the source, Grey Zone, is as follows:

"At night, the channel received feedback from the channel, for the already existing understanding of which, unknown denominators were also determined for a long time, in general, the picture was as follows: while working on counter-sabotage activities, a group of special forces from one of the law enforcement agencies of Russia discovered a group a little southeast of Ugledar enemy, which apparently wanted to occupy a forest plantation in the "gray zone".

The enemy worked with Western small group tactics and was brought in by a Ukrainian Cossack armored car. Dismounting and walking a little along the landing, they, as expected, disappeared into it. It was clear that one person sometimes looked out from there, which gave reason to believe that the enemy was not moving further. While the mortars were being aimed, 5 minutes passed, as expected, because one can only guess, they were informed by communication that a car was moving along their own route in the “gray zone”. The road along this forest plantation is marked on our maps as the only one not mined.

It is worth noting that in view of the orders of the command, in some sectors of the front it is prescribed to use vehicles not associated with military equipment for movement, in order to avoid ATGMs. Apparently, the enemy reconnaissance group did not or could not identify those in the vehicles, and as a result opened fire to kill, while our side was pointing 82 and 120mm mortars from the area of the settlement. Nikolskoe/Nikolskie dachas.

After the inspection, it turned out that they were anyone, but definitely not the military. Since the situation occurred in the "gray zone", it is not yet possible to conduct an inspection of the area, at least by our forces.

Unfortunately, in view of the rapidly changing situation at the front, work on the evacuation of the civilian population has not yet been established in many sectors of the line of contact, as a result of which civilians are forced to take risks in this way." END QUOTE

This is the reality of war, and this is why it's awful. I would be an absolute hypocrite if I didn't acknowledge that this was something that took place regularly on my deployments at the height of GWOT, and this video brought me back to some very dark past experiences.
