Footage released by a member of a Ukrainian Special Operations Team has released footage from last year showing a near ambush encounter with Russian forces. The squad was transporting wounded Russian POWs to an evacuation site when they met with a small Russian infantry force who ambushed them at close range. Three members of the Ukrainian team were killed in the ambush, including the cameraman. The footage was filmed near Kreminna.

According to the team member who released the footage, shortly after this video stopped the team was able to regroup and counter-assault the small force of Russians, destroying them and capturing the remaining troops who surrendered.
