FLIR footage released by a Ukrainian Sniper captures an engagement against Russian infantry in the open at a distance of over 1200 meters.

Currently, none of the pertinent context for this video exists. We don't know the when or where that this footage was filmed. This is an operational security decision that was made by the Ukrainians to prevent this sniper from being compromised as the team is still in the field conducting combat operations.

From the footage itself, we can tell that the sniper is engaging Russian forces at a distance of around 1240 meters. There's a few other tidbits of information that can be revealed from the optic's internal read-outs, but there's no way to verify that information is accurate as there is a chance that the optic wasn't properly calibrated to give out direction and temperature read outs.
