Shocking footage shows a Dec. 15, 2023 incident in which a Ukrainian village councilman detonated three hand grenades during a meeting of local government, resulting in the deaths of at least one person and wounded as many as 25 more people.

The man can be seen standing against the wall with his hands in his pockets as a heated debate ensues. Suddenly he pulls the grenades from his pockets and pops the spoons, starting the timed fuzes to detonation.

Those in attendance are unable to comprehend the situation and do not react accordingly. The grenades explode in close proximity to several people in the small room. The incident reportedly occurred in the village of Keretsky in Ukraine's western Zakarpattia region.
