Ghastly drone footage shows two unarmed Ukrainian soldiers being executed after they surrendered to Russian forces in the vicinity of Stepove, a village just north of contested Avdiivka in Donetsk on or around Dec. 1, 2023.

The video shows a Ukrainian soldier exiting his bunker unarmed with hands locked over his head as four Russian soldiers stand a few meters away. He lies down on the ground, face down with his hands interlocked behind his head.

Then, a second Ukrainian soldier comes out of the hole to surrender, and a Russian soldier decides to shoot him. For whatever reason, the rest of the Russian soldiers open fire. The first Ukrainian prisoner to surrender tries crawling back to his bunker, but is gunned down at close range.
