Brutal footage recorded by a Ukrainian drone in eastern Ukraine shows a Russian foxhole fighting position being assaulted, overran, and neutralized by Ukrainian troops using small arms and hand grenades.

The video clip initially shows two Russian troops, but one is already wounded and is pulled down into the hole. The second Russian soldier continues to fight hard as bullets tear up the dirt around him and grenades explode within inches.

Eventually a rifle round skips off the dirt just in front of him and hits him squarely in the head, knocking his helmet off. The hit was likely instantly fatal. Soon, a Ukrainian troop can be seen entering the frame. He delivers a few double taps to ensure the threat is no more and finishes with a frag grenade thrown into the hole.

The Ukrainian military unit was reportedly the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade and the incident reportedly took place along the eastern front.
