(NSFW) Man Withstands Bean Bag Shots And Taser, Continuing Advance on LEO

The Anne Arundel County Police department released new body camera footage from an incident which occurred on November 28th, 2021, showing the moments a knife wielding suspect withstood multiple bean bag shots and a taser, while still continuing his advance toward police officers, causing an officer involved shooting.


At approximately 1:30 p.m., a female 9-1-1 caller reported a male family member, identified as 32-year-old Digno Ramon Yorro, Jr, chasing her around the residence and threatening her life. Shortly after the call, officers arrived in the 1400 block of Braden Loop in Glen Burnie, where they used a forcible breach to enter the residence, after Yorro refused to open the door. As shown in the officer body camera footage, officers observed Yorro armed with a large knife. Responding officers attempted to utilize less-lethal beanbag rounds and a taser, however Yorro was completely un-phased by both.


Still disregarding officers verbal commands, Yorro took one last lunge toward officers, ultimately resulting in an officer involved shooting. Multiple officers began rendering medical aid to Yorro, however his sustained injuries proved fatal, and he succumbed to his injuries. Upon further investigation, an additional subject, later identified as Yorro's mother, was found deceased in the garage. At this time, her exact cause of death is unknown.
