Brutal aftermath footage shows the result of a Ukrainian HIMARS strike on the Russian-held Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station in the Kherson region while it was occupied by multiple Russian soldiers.

Reports suggest there were at least eight Russian soldiers killed in the strikes, but the footage is a gory mess, and actual casualty figures are impossible to ascertain from the imagery alone. Multiple Russian military vehicles have been turned into twisted wreckage and the dam itself appears to have taken significant structural damage as well.

The dam was targeted by Ukrainian forces as they claim it was a key bridge crossing for Russian forces to resupply and reinforce their fight for Kherson. Ukrainian outlets further claim that the bridge-dam is now impassible due to the strikes.
