(NSFW) Lazy Fighter Doesn't Run, Gets Killed Instead

A conscripted member of the Syrian Arab Army doesn't listen to the training advice he probably never received about how to properly cross a danger area, and finds himself dead as a result.

There is a very specific reason why you are told to cross danger areas in an expeditious manner. The primary reason of course, being that it's the best way to not end up dead in the open by accurate sniper fire. Other reasons include minimizing the time your overall element is exposed to sniper fire, and maintaining the element of surprise when you are behind enemy lines.

This video is a classic sniper clip coming out of the Civil War in Syria early on. It shows a rebel sniper and his spotter shacked up in a position where they know regime troops are going to be going by. The fact that the first conscripted Soldier runs across the area tells me that these guys have probably already had this sniper take pot-shots at them in the past.

The guy who nonchalantly decides to stroll across the danger area where they've probably taken shots before ends up looking a lot more dead than cool when his face is in the dirt because of his laziness. Let this be a lesson to all the lazy Warfighters out there. The doctrine might not always look cool. It might not always be the easy way to get a mission done. That said, the doctrine was written in the blood of those who came before you, and there's a reason your senior warfighters put those words in the book for you to memorize.

Don't be lazy or complacent, and you'll be the first guy in this video. Alive.
