Do you ever just stop and take a look at Twitter today and wonder how in the world we got to where we are? Like, honestly, sit back and think on it for a minute. In the 1940's, a video like this could be released to the American public, and not only would no one bat a single eye, it would actually boost recruitment numbers and support for the troops down-range fighting America's wars. If this exact video had been published between 2010 and today, the entire Pentagon would be burned to the ground within a week, and we'd have sympathizers with blue check marks asking for leniency against the "Austere Religious Scholars."

It's crazy to think about. Today, we can be in two separate wars for twenty years with a half-dozen brushfire conflicts utilizing Special Operations troops, but the content published by the U.S. Military is full of feel-good stories about little girls with two moms. Instead of targeting type-A warfighters, we're incentivizing the weakest part of the country to enlist into the military so they can make TikTok videos about how woke they are, and that's absolutely mind-boggling to me.

Something that's going to be interesting to see as we move forward into the next conflict is the regression from where we are today, back to where we were in the 1940s.
