(NSFW) Ethiopian Patrol Destroyed by Oromo Liberation Guerillas

Recently recorded combat footage from Ethiopia shows a roadside ambush against a squad-sized patrol of Ethiopian troops by members of the Oromo Liberation Front. It appears as if the patrol is completely wiped out by the guerilla forces.

For those of you who are out of the loop on the Oromo Liberation Front, they are often referred to as OLF or ABO. They are a nationalistic group of people from the Oromia Region of Ethiopia that was founded in 1973 to promote the self-governance of the Oromo people.

For the past three years the group has been waging an increasingly violent campaign against the Government of Ethiopia in an attempt to meet their objectives of self-governance. It's an incredibly complicated topic that won't really translate well here in the Funker530 analysis section, but I can at least point you guys to some interesting reads on the topic.

This link will take you to the group's official webpage where you can read about them straight from the horse's mouth. Here's a recent article about the group from Human Rights Watch.
