(NSFW) Drone Munitions Ravage Russian Troops

A compilation of clips from a recent battle in Ukraine shows a quadcopter drone chasing around Russian troops and inflicting casualties with drone dropped munitions. The drone was reportedly operated by the Ukrainian 501st Marine Battalion.

One of the clips is a longer version of one we blogged yesterday, and shows more of the after effects from the blast. The discussion on yesterday's video demonstrated that most viewers don't understand how fragmentation weapons work, and are likely basing their notions on what they have seen in Hollywood movie productions. The blast of smoke and gas appears very limited, but the deadly and debilitating shrapnel, which cannot be seen with the naked eye, disperses in all directions much further than the visible eruption.
