Azov media released a video highlighting the devastation that is ongoing in the fight for the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. The video attempts to convey that the fight for Mariupol has greater significance than the city alone, and a loss or victory will be a foreshadowing of the fate of Ukraine and possibly eastern Europe.

If this isn't the first Azov related video you've watched, then you can predict how many shills will be in the comments parroting Kremlin talking points about them being "neo-nazis." I'm not going to argue for or against the claim, but instead leave you with points to consider regarding it; Azov was formed by eastern Ukrainians who mostly spoke the Russian language.

That means two things; If Azov really is the Ukrainian nazi unit, then its nazi members are the ethnic Russians Putin is supposedly trying to save, which is awkward for Russia. Additionally, the fact that they are freely speaking Russian in many of their videos also dispels the Russian narrative that the Ukrainian government is oppressing Russian culture and heritage in eastern Ukraine.
