Mystery Fire Consumes Staging Base 45km Inside Russia

An as-of-yet unexplained fire broke out at a Russian staging base in the vicinity of Klintsy in Russia's Bryansk region, approximately 30 miles from the Ukrainian border.

The fire reportedly destroyed eight Russian military vehicles of varying types. Interestingly, this is not the first mysterious fire to hit Russian military logistics in Bryansk since the invasion of Ukraine. In late April 2022 a massive fire erupted at a Bryansk oil depot, and witnesses claimed the inferno was preceded by explosions.

While the incident may have been a result of a mishap or odd coincidence, it does lead one to wonder about the possibility of a cross border strike or sapper sabotage operation.
