Most Obvious Attempted Robbery Put to a Halt, After Victim Shoots First

On July 19, 2021, a store CCTV camera captured the moments two crooks failed an attempted robbery, which left both men with gunshot wounds and an updated prison sentence.


As shown in the footage, a man and two woman are seen conversing and utilizing their phones, while a silver colored Dodge Avenger backs up behind them. The vehicle, now blocking the path from the parking lot to the road, has come to a suspicious halt. A few moments later, two armed men exit the vehicle and begin brandishing their firearms at the group.


Within seconds, the male victim draws his firearm and begins firing multiple shots, striking both suspects in the legs. The suspects were later identified as 22-year-old Nicholas Brown and 28-year-old Markeil Hayes, who were both residents of Los Angeles. Both men were currently on parole and are now facing additional sentencing for attempted robbery.


Reports have stated the two woman and male victim were unscathed from the shootout. Brown suffered a gunshot wound to his upper left thigh, where Hayes also suffered a gunshot wound to his right calf.
