Recent footage from an airfield in Russia shows draftees stumbling drunk and one is even passed out just prior to boarding a plane.

Recent legislation passed by Russia has essentially forcefully-enlisted as many as 1.2 million Russian men, some aged in their 60s. The decree made it illegal for military-aged males to leave the country and also made it a crime to refuse military service.

Some reports indicate that the Russian government is drafting disproportionate amount of men from rural and isolated areas where the media is less likely to highlight the outrage and effects on the communities.
