MiG-21 Crashes, Explodes During Military Parade In Libya

During what was supposed to be Libya's largest ever military parade, a MiG-21 fighter jet crashed, killing the pilot and erupting into a huge inferno.


The incident occurred at the Benin airport in the Benghazi region of Libya, and the aircraft belonged to rogue general Kalifa Heftar's Libyan National Army (LNA), the major opponent of the international recognized Government of National accord (GNA), based out of Triploi.


The deceased pilot was identified as Brigadier General Jamal ibn Amer.
