Maritime Drone Attack on Russian Black Sea Fleet

Maritime drone footage released by Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko shows Russian aircraft attempting to stop a drone attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.

It's being reported that Ukrainian forces have conducted a massive maritime drone attack on Russian naval forces located in the Black Sea near Sevastopol. Without evidence, Russian forces are claiming that British troops were involved in the attack and are also laying blame on the Brits for the sabotage on gas pipelines last month. In response to Russian accusations, the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) said Russia was "peddling false claims of an epic scale".

In total, it's being suggested that at least nine maritime drones were used during the attack. Russia has claimed that the Black Sea fleet was successful in repelling the attack, however at least one Russian naval vessel sustained damage. "In the course of repelling a terrorist attack on the outer roadstead of Sevastopol, the use of naval weapons and naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed four marine unmanned vehicles, three more devices were destroyed on the internal roadstead," a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense read.

Ukraine has yet to comment on the attacks.
