Marine's Near Death Experience in Afghanistan

Turn up your volume for this video. A Marine nearly dies when a member of the Taliban takes a potshot in the general direction of his position in Afghanistan.

The chaos of war is ever-present, and totally random. It doesn't matter if you are an untrained jihadi running and gunning with an AK-47 that has a broken front-sight and bent barrel, or a several million dollar U.S. Navy SEAL with the latest and greatest in firearms technology. It only takes one stray round to find you and end your life on the battlefield.

This Marine described this as the closest he ever came to dying throughout his entire deployment to Afghanistan, and with good reason. A couple of millimeters sway in the Taliban barrel that loosed the round could have been the difference between life and death for this Marine.
