Kurdish HPG guerrillas of the PKK released footage of a May 24, 2022 raid against a Turkish military outpost in the mountains of northern Iraq. The HPG claim to have killed two Turkish soldiers in the raid itself and another six in counter attacks following the raid. Those figures cannot be verified by us. The Kurdish fighters made off with a machine gun, ammo, and a thermal optic.

The footage shows the Kurds using the Swedish-made AT4 rocket launcher. Over the past several years, the HPG has used the weapon system in multiple attacks on Turkish forces. Turkey has threatened to protest Finland and Sweden’s NATO bids, as they claim the two countries are supporting "terrorists" with these weapons. It's hilarious any time Turkey uses the word "terrorist" in an outward manner.
