JTF2 Sniper Makes World Record Kill in Iraq - 2017

Recently released footage from Joint Task Force 2, an elite Canadian special operations team, shows a record breaking 3,540 sniper shot taken with a McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifle in 2017.

I won't beat a dead horse on this one. If you guys want to read about this operation, there's plenty of places you can find that information just by hitting Google. The TL;DR version is a unit from JTF2 spotted a group of Islamic State fighters at around 2.1 miles from their position in 2017. Unable to immediately exploit the fighters with air support, they made the decision to attempt and snipe the fighters using their McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifles.

The travel time of the round was about 10 seconds from the moment the round was fired, and the rounds traveled about double the distance of the stated maximum effective range of the McMillan TAC-50. This is the only currently released footage from this shot.
