Javelin Makes Short Work Of Russian BTR-80 In Kherson

Footage from an unspecified date shows a Ukrainian soldier knocking out a Russian BTR-80 with a single strike from an FGM-148 Javelin missile. The incident reportedly took place in the Kherson region.

The Javelin is known for its "top down attack" in which the missile approaches its target from a high angle in order to strike where the armored vehicle is the weakest. The angle of attack is helpful for engaging modern heavy tanks with thick frontal armor, but likely didn't matter for this light armored infantry fighting vehicle.
