In February of 2022, Deputies from the Jacksonville Sherriff's Department responded to a 9-1-1 call about a home invasion near Spring Grove Avenue that resulted in the shooting of a 15-year-old.

As soon as officers arrived on the scene, three teens were seen running towards a nearby creek. One of the teenagers was armed with a Kalashnikov style rifle, and another was armed with a handgun. While trying to get the teenagers to stop running, one of them turned and pointed his pistol at the officer. The officer immediately discharged his service pistol to protect himself, and the teenager fell into the creek where a second officer approached to clear and detain the suspect. The third teen managed to get away on foot, but was later arrested.

For the remainder of the video, the officer who shot remains with the first teen who is laying on the ground next to the discarded rifle. The wounded 15-year-old, identified by family as Antarious Fluellen, was released from a hospital and later arrested by Lake City police in connection with a 2021 murder where is currently awaiting trial.
