An Abrams tank belonging to the 9th Armored Division of the Iraqi Army, and Humvees belonging to the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service are advancing towards ISIS positions when an SVBIED emerges from a side street.

The only logical explanation for the seemingly plywood armor, is that these are actually some form of new cloaking panel, and they ran out of power just before they came into view of the camera.

It seems like the driver panics as he gets close, swerves into a guard rail and harmlessly detonates far enough from the tank to cause any significant damage to the tank or crew.
