Intense footage released by Radio Free Europe earlier today, shows a jaw dropping encounter between Ukrainian and Russian light infantry. Over the past few weeks, a vast majority of the footage captured, has displayed indirect fire or engagements between heavy armored units. As for small arms combat, this is the first appearance of an on the ground perspective of the two clashing military forces.

As the subtitles state, this particular engagement was coordinated by Ukrainian armed forces, to assault and regain control of a small village on the outskirts of Kyiv. For OPSEC purposes, the area in which this assault took place has not been identified.
