Footage from a recent Russian missile attack against Ukrainian infrastructure shows a Ukrainian soldier attempting to shoot down a cruise missile with an Igla man portable air defense system (MANPADS).

Quick infantry math isn't able to determine the effectiveness of the shot. The Russian cruise missile is already hauling ass and passes by the air defense soldier several seconds before he fires the Igla. Although the gal is able to get a lock and fire, it's not clear how much faster the air defense missile is than the cruise missile, or if it has enough range to catch it.
