On June 27, 2021 in Newark Delaware, a local house party turned deadly after an armed man began opening fire on the party guests.

At roughly 1 a.m. that Sunday morning, multiple gunshots had been reported to the New Castle County police department outside of a home on Louis Court in Salem Woods housing development. Upon arriving at the scene, a twenty-two-year old man, whose identity has not been released was pronounced deceased and two others were seriously injured.

Neighbors spoke on behalf of the home owner and mentioned there was always parties going on at the house, but none previously that escalated to violence of this nature.

New Castle County police currently have an active investigation to find the shooter and understand motives.
