War is hell for everyone involved. We don't know who this man is. We don't know why he fights. In our cushy world, we'd probably should even consider him an enemy. Regardless of his political beliefs. Regardless of his religious ideology. You have to hand the man some of your respect after watching this video.

It takes a special kind of warrior to pull off a feat of valor like this. Knowing that he would probably die, this man picked up his wounded friend, put him on his back, and gave every ounce of energy he had in his body into getting his friend to safety. The entire time he was maneuvering, rounds were zipping past him and tearing up the Earth all around him, and not once did he drop the man he was carrying and think about his own safety. He just kept running.

Say what you want about Islamic Extremists. At the end of the day, you have to recognize that this man is performing an act of heroism born out of love for his fellow fighter. We'll never truly know or understand their story, but we're witnessing an act of heroism unfolding right in front of us on camera.

This is an act of valor, and honestly I don't care what they were fighting for. In this moment, this man was fighting for his friend's life, and I can respect that.
