Helmet Cam: Ukrainian Special Operations Team Halts Russian Advance with RPGs

Members of a Ukrainian Special Operations team conducting defensive operations in an unknown part of Ukraine halt a Russian advance with accurate RPG-7 fire.

While the exact location that this footage was filmed in has not been released due to operational security concerns, what we do know is that Russian armor and infantry were attempting to make a breakthrough in the Ukrainian defensive line. Members of a Ukrainian Special Operations team who are working working with the defenders took it upon themselves to advance just ahead of their own friendly lines to harass the advancing Russian troops with several RPGs. This type of operation is commonly conducted to slow enemy advances, allowing defenders to better position themselves and artillery to conduct operations against advancing forces.

While it's unclear if the Ukrainian SF team scored any direct hits or kills against Russian forces in this engagement, it definitely caused a slow-down of the Russian advance in whatever area this was filmed as they were most likely forced to halt and respond to the harassing fires. It also appears as if the Ukrainians are utilizing plunging fire in this video, as we can't see the target, even though the target is within range of the RPGs they are firing.
