GoPro footage from a Hamas militant documents a brazen attack in which the insurgent hand carries an explosive anti tank device to an IDF Merkava tank and sets it on the vehicle. He then rapidly retreats to a safe distance before it explodes.

Following the blast, the Hamas fighter fires a rocket propelled grenade at the Israeli tank, and it makes direct contact. It doesn't appear that the initial blast itself was all that effective in immobilizing the Merkava, but it does demonstrate how vulnerable heavy armor is without dismounted infantry support.
