GoPro: Ukrainians in Tank Survive Direct Tank Round Impact

GoPro footage recorded by a tank driver in Ukraine captures the intense moment that his tank takes a direct hit from an enemy tank that has them dialed in. They manage to get their vehicle to safety before a follow on shot can take them out.

According to the guy recording the video, the tank took a direct hit from an enemy Russian tank while they were on patrol. The explosive reactive armor of the vehicle stopped the round from penetrating the turret, and the entire crew was fine except for a few ringing ears. The tank itself was heavily damaged by the ERA kit going off and detonating right next to the tank's turret. In the same statement, the driver can be heard saying that the crew's machinegun, tank commander optics, extra ammunition, and radio equipment were disabled by the impact.

For those of you wanting to see the point of impact, but who skip through the videos looking for the juicy bits, it happens at :55 seconds. Everything following that is the tank retreating to a position of cover and the crew inspecting the damage. The video was recorded sometime in 2022.
