GoPro: 3rd Assault Brigade Earns Their Unit Name

GoPro video released by a Ukrainian Soldier with the 3rd Assault Brigade shows an assault against Russian positions in what is most likely the outskirts of Bakhmut. It's unclear exactly when this footage was filmed.

There are a few assumptions I'm going to make about this video, but it's important to remember that I am unable to independently verify this information currently. Based on the last known location of the 3rd Assault Brigade, I'm going to assume that this footage was filmed somewhere near Bakhmut and based on the current big picture of the map in Ukraine, I'm going to also assume that this footage was filmed a earlier in the month of May and is just now being released.

That said, almost no context was released with this footage outside of the unit name. It's entirely possible that this footage is from another frontline near Bakhmut that the 3rd Assault Brigade has been moved to, and it's also entirely possible that this video was filmed as recently as today or yesterday. There's just honestly no way to know based off of the context we have at this time.

Should more information about this assault become available in the future, we will update this post with that information.
