German-made DM22 Directional Mine Zaps Russian Convoy

Drone footage shows a Russian military convoy become the target of a reported German-made DM22 directional anti tank mine, also called an off-route mine, which makes a solid hit on the lead vehicle.

Germany delivered at least 1,600 of the DM22 mines to the Ukrainian military following Russia's most recent invasion in February. The mine consists of a warhead, launcher, and tripod. It can be detonated when the target vehicle drives over a fiber optic cable, command detonated, or detonation via infra red sensor. The weapon system has an effective range of up to 100 meters and the HEAT warhead can penetrate four inches of steel armor.
