Friendly Fire: Russian VDV Destroys Own BTR-82

Russian VDV paratroopers proudly posted a video claiming to show an FPV kamikaze drone strike on a Ukrainian vehicle, however, the claim was quickly dispelled by video analysts on social media, showing the targeted BTR-82 was actually a Russian IFV that likely belonged to the VDV themselves.

It's not clear if the vehicle was manned at the time of the strike. Additionally, disgruntled Russian soldiers on Telegram have reported striking abandon vehicles multiple times to produce videos giving the impression of multiple successful strikes to satisfy higher leadership with false progress.

The footage was geolocated to Robotyne, which is now under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
