Firefighters Seen Attempting to Save Luhansk Power Station after Shelling

Ukrainian Firefighters from the Luhansk region are seen fighting a raging inferno at the Luhansk Power Station after it was struck by shelling. Reports on the ground are beginning to turn bleak.

Residents in the Luhansk region are now finding themselves without power after a shell struck a powerplant there. Some residents are even reporting that they have lost access to running water already. The people of the Luhansk region in Ukraine have been living with the conflict in their country for almost 8 years. Only over the past few days has the conflict begun to spill past the front-lines and into their backyards.

News coming out of the region is spotty. Russian misinformation campaigns are keeping everyone on their toes, so we'll do our best to ensure that we are getting the facts straight. We expect in the coming days and weeks you'll see a significant uptick in posts on Funker530. We'd like to state for the record that we will do our best to independently verify footage where we can, and we will also label unverified footage as such so that you know to take the information with a grain of salt.

We cannot promise to get everything right. Already, the flow of information coming out of the area is absolutely insane. It's like drinking water from a firehose if we're being honest. That said, we have Willy.beating cancer on the ground, and several other contacts as well that we've worked with in the past. These people are helping us verify information with their own knowledge, and we're doing our best to ensure everything we post has some shred of validity to it. In the event we do get something wrong, take this as a pre-emptive apology.

We are only human.
