Aerial footage shows an incident in which an Ansar Allah (Houthi rebel) kamikaze drone is intercepted and destroyed by a Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 Eagle.

Kamikaze drones, also known as suicide drones, but more formally identified as loiter munitions are warheads that can be piloted remotely or programmed for autonomous operation. The device stays in the air for an extended duration of time waiting for the right target to present a preferable opportunity.

The Houthi rebels, armed and facilitated by Iran, have used kamikaze drones against Saudi targets, to include major oil pipelines, with decent success.
