Extremist Footage Shows an Ambush on an M1 Abrams

Published April 11, 2022

Footage from Iraq shows insurgent fighters dropping homemade explosives on top of an M1 Abram Main Battle Tank. The tank barely registers the explosions before returning fire.

I'm not a tank guy. For reference, I was one of the infantry guys who always used to get super giddy when the tank guys would let me climb on their vehicle to check it out. The M1 Abrams is an absolute work of art, and in this video we're seeing exactly why.

A group of insurgents on the roof of a building are chucking explosives at the tank below. The tank barely registers the explosions before returning fire, and then just casually driving off like nothing happened.

As stated earlier though, I'm not a tank guy. I'd love to hear from some of the tankers in the comments. What would something like this feel like from inside of the tank? Would it ring your bell pretty good, or just register as a bunch of noise you needed to respond to? I'm genuinely curious.
