Drone video recorded by Ukrainian drone operators near Avdiivka captures a squad-sized group of Russian troops riding exposed on the roof of a Russian armored personnel carrier. As is often seen in these videos, the APC is struck by an FPV drone, causing the Russian troops on the roof of the vehicle to immediately regret their decision to take a convertible ride in a war zone.

Force protection isn't about troop comfort. It's about keeping your guys alive and uninjured so that when they get to where they're going, they're able to take objectives away from the enemy. The Russians have been struggling with this for the duration of the Russo-Ukraine War, like they're some kind of undisciplined third world military.
