European Special Forces "Takuba" Task Force Operations In Mali

A video news feature highlights the French-led European "Takuba" task force operating in Mali to train indigenous forces and then accompany them on combat missions to eliminate terror cells and provide security stability in the Sahel region of Africa.

Although the Takuba (Saber) task force is led by the French, the contingent is composed of French, Estonian, Czech, and Swedish special forces troops, but support units and future rotations involve at least a dozen other European militaries. From the video we can see the European troops provide their own base security and are training themselves as well as the indigenous units in combat and first aid.
