Dual Wielding Knives And Charging Cops Gets Man Shot

Police in Aurora, Illinois shot a man multiple times after the suspect charged them while armed with two knives on Feb. 5, 2023.


According to the report, officers responded to an increasingly hostile domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they found the 21-year-old suspect extremely agitated and armed with knives. The suspect threatened officers and ignored multiple commands from the officers. He was also unfazed by multiple shots from less-lethal projectiles. The suspect rapidly closed the distance to the officers and was shot multiple times, knocking him to the ground.


The suspect was treated by paramedics and transported to an ER where he received life-saving surgery. The suspect survived wounds to his chest, leg, abdomen, and face.


The officers were placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident.
