Drone Stalks Russian Patrol and Directs Artillery onto Their Patrol Base

Drone video released by an unknown group of Ukrainians who appear to be operating in Bakhmut captures the moment a group of Russian expose the location of their patrol base.

Speaking through the lens of traditional infantry doctrine, there is a right way and a wrong way to both exit and re-enter your patrol base. In this instance however, I don't think doctrine has kept pace with recent advances in drone warfare. There isn't a solution that prevents you from being observed by an entirely silent drone sitting at its maximum altitude outside of both visual and audible range, therefore following the exact doctrine to re-enter your patrol base doesn't prevent you from being compromised.

It's a tough position to be in, and unfortunately for the Russian troops they're simply not skilled enough to adapt their tactics and techniques on the fly to meet or defeat current Ukrainian tactics and techniques.
