Drone Records Russian Tank Accidentally Blasting Russian Troop with Overpressure

Drone video released by Ukrainian sources captures the moment a Russian Soldier forward of a tank is put on the deck by the overpressure of a tank main gun round going off right next to his head.

Overpressure is defined as the pressure caused by a shockwave over and above normal atmospheric pressure. It is normally caused by a sonic boom or explosion. Exposure to overpressure in excess of 550 kPa or 79.8 psi in more than 50% of cases is deadly.

It's impossible to tell just how much overpressure the Russian in this video was exposed to by the main gun of the tank he was standing next to. That said, it's certain that it wasn't a positive experience for him. I somehow think that the Russian equivalent of the Department of Veteran Affairs is probably going to tell this guy that his injuries are not service connected.

Edit: The original article was missing "is deadly" when referring to the overpressure fatality rates. Josh "Big Red" Brooks has been properly reprimanded.
