Drone Footage Allegedly Shows Abandoned Russian Soldier Surrendering

More drone footage coming out of an unknown part of Ukraine today allegedly shows a Russian Soldier walking up to Ukrainian fighting positions to surrender.

The lack of actual context on this video makes it impossible for us to independently verify that it wasn't staged by Ukrainian troops. Like it or not, the Ukrainians have been just as effective at conducting misinformation operations as the Russians, and this could be part of one of those operations specifically targeting Russian troops who may be considering surrender as an option to get out of the conflict.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a large Psy Op push from Ukrainian forces to get Russians to surrender to Ukrainian forces en masse in light of Russia's recent retreat from the Kherson region. While I can't confirm that this video is a part of that operation, it would certainly make sense since we see have been seeing a disproportionate rise in surrender footage coming out of the region in the past seven days.

All of that said, and realizing that the comments are going to be flooded with hyper pro-Ukrainians calling me a Russian shill, according to the source of this piece, this Russian Soldier was abandoned by his unit, and chose to surrender to Ukrainian forces adjacent to his own fighting position.
