Footage from the fight for Bakhmut shows Ukrainian soldiers using a DJI Mavic drone to adjust MK19 40mm grenade launching machine gun fire onto Russian troops with great accuracy.

The MK19 40mm machine gun is an American air-cooled, disintegrating metallic link-belt fed, blowback operated, fully automatic grenade launcher that fire a variety of 40mm grenade types over 2,000 meters. The M430 HEDP 40mm grenade will pierce armor up to two inches thick, and will produce fragments to kill personnel within five meters and wound personnel within 15 meters of the blast.

Bakhmut is a strategically important objective for both sides as it is positioned on the main road linking Sloviansk to Kramatorsk. The intensity of the fighting has increased in Bakhmut since Russian troops pulled out of Kherson and were redistributed to other fronts. Both the Russians and Ukrainians are reportedly taking heavy losses.
