Quick Draw Saves Officers In Close Range Gunfight

On April 30, 2021 Officers of the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington D.C. responded to a domestic violence incident at an apartment building. As Officers respond to the scene, a woman opens the door and states "Get this B*$@^ out of my house".

The Officers enter the apartment where we can see the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Terrance Parker, laying on the victims bed. Officers ask Parker multiple times to step out of the apartment and to come out into the hallway, but refuses to comply. The Officer whose body cam we are viewing from, enters the room Parker is in. Upon entering the room, Parker begins fumbling around under the blanket.

The Officer notices Parker moving his right hand around and questions "What do you got there". Seconds later, both Officers draw their firearms. Parker can be seen rolling back on the bed drawing a firearm as well. Before Parker discharges his firearm at the Officers, he is shot three times.

Officers applied medical aid to Parker before a medical transport vehicle arrived on the scene. Parker was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The responding Officers have been placed on administrative leave due to the suspects family arguing this as an unjust shooting and that Parker was complying with Officers. A statement from Tiffany Parker, sister of Terrance Parker stating she reviewed the body cam footage and could not see a firearm......

Not sure i entirely agree with this being unjust, but lets hear what you all think. Let us know in the comments below if you believe this was a justified Officer involved shooting.
