Croatian Troops Shoot Down Yugoslavian J-21 Jastreb (1991)

A video from the Battle of Šibenik, also known as the September War, was fought between the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), supported by the Croatian Serb-established Serbian Autonomous Oblast of Krajina (SAO Krajina), and the Croatian National Guard (ZNG), supported by the Croatian Police.

The following video footage from that battle took place on Sept. 21, 1991. The Yugoslavian Air Force was providing close air support for JNA troops attempting to cross the Šibenik Bridge spanning the Krka River. The assault failed as the Croatian ZNG force shot down four Yugo aircraft, one of which was captured on video.
