Cops Open Fire After Getting Rammed By Suspect SUV

Officers from Sand Springs Police Department (Oklahoma) fired at a suspect-driven SUV following a theft report that became a high speed chase.

According to the report, three suspects later identified as 31-year-old Brandon Beaty, 32-year-old Aubrey Beaty, and 30-year-old Tiffany Delgado were being sought regarding a reported theft at a local Tractor Supply store.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to pull over, increased speed, and began to drive dangerously and erratically. One of the pursuing officers attempted a pit maneuver which sent the suspect SUV spinning but also crashing back into the police vehicle.

The SUV came to a short haul along a guard rail and another officer attempted to block it with his cruiser. The suspects then rammed through the second officers cruiser, again attempting to escape. Both officers fired single rounds from their service weapons, but none of the suspects were injured.

The occupants of the SUV temporarily escaped by abandoning the vehicle further down the road and hiding in a wooded area. The investigation is ongoing.
