Volume Warning: Video released from the inside of a Ukrainian helicopter shows the pilots utilizing a technique known as canopy fire to lob unguided rockets towards Russian positions.

The purpose of this technique is to get the weapon systems to reach their maximum effective range and to safeguard the aircraft from surface-to-air threats. Originally, we saw Russian forces almost exclusively using this technique against the Ukrainians, however over the last sixty days we have seen both sides heavily utilizing this technique.
